Shri Veershaiv Co-operative Bank Ltd. was established on 4th February 1942 under the visionary leadership of Raosaheb D.B. Mali and other visionary pioneers during a period of economic uncertainty and political unrest. The founders, inspired by the ideals of co-operation, unity, and social upliftment, laid the foundation of the bank with a modest paid-up capital of Rs. 2,500. Despite the challenges of the Quit India Movement and economic recession, the promoters displayed extraordinary commitment, successfully collecting the required share capital of Rs. 20,000 within just five months - an inspiring milestone in the bank’s journey.
